Also includes load calculations for future and existing loads, connection of the existing loads onto the new switchgear and construction and renovation of electrical closets on each floor. Providing disconnects in each closet and supplying electrical feeds to disconnects for future use.

After the design-build of a 100’ X 50’ concrete pad and retaining wall in Phase I, Kaleo was selected to install a second 800kW generator, two (2) additional 60-ton Airstack chiller modules and two (2) free-cool modules as part of a 3-phase initiative to provide standby power to critical systems in the event of a power outage as well as additional chilled water air for their data center expansion.

Completed the interior fit-out/renovation of the SBCR 3rd floor space at the NRC Headquarters building located at One White Flint North in Rockville, MD. The renovation encompassed approximately 5,000 square feet and included electrical, mechanical, flooring, ceiling, drywall, finishes and painting.

Designed, built and implemented a highly complex mechanical system upgrade to the hot water system of the Francis Perkins Building.  Increased performance and efficiency resulting in long-term cost savings by skillfully managing this complex upgrade involving significant demolition and integrating new equipment with extensive pre-existing equipment and controls.

Performed the upgrade of Building 1099’s conditioned air system including the 30-ton outside condensing unit, air handler, insulation, and controls. Implemented a reverse osmosis system for their surgical laboratory and continue to perform miscellaneous renovations and abatement services requiring skilled project management and extensive coordination and communication.

Roofing & Masonry Improvements

Repaired the roofing of the Old Post Office Building which included replacement of the copper gutters, water tables, copper valleys and flashings on 29 dormers and 12 turrets.  Because of the historic nature and severe slopes of this building, extraordinary care and safety precautions were employed to install the 16,000 lbs. of lead coated copper and replace over 700 missing or broken slates.

Mechanical Upgrade – Exhaust Fan Replacement

Developed, built and installed a high-efficiency ventilation system for a 20-story building.  This complex project included demolition during off-hours, extensive ductwork, installing 2 high-efficiency exhaust fans on the roof, removing and replacing existing plumbing, electrical, and drywall and testing and balancing the new ventilation system to ensure efficiency and cost savings.
